Who we are

Miniventuremac.com, (referred to as “website”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to tell you what information is being collected and your rights to it. By using this website, you agree to this Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to the terms listed within this Privacy Policy, please do not browse this website.

What Information is Collected

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect data shown in the comments form, including name and email, the visitor’s IP address, and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available HERE. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Additionally, please note that comments are publicly visible meaning that anyone who visits the website can view your comment, your username, the time you posted, and your Gravitar picture.

Forms

If you choose to fill out contact forms, your name and email will be collected. This is strictly for us to respond. We will not send you promotions, offers, or anything other than a response. Your information will not be shared, sold, rented, or traded with any third party.

Automatically Collected Information

We automatically collect some information from you as you visit the website. Information collected includes your IP address, browser type, what website you used to get here, operating system type, pages viewed, and the dates/times in which you accessed our website. This is for statistic purposes and none of it links to personally identifiable information.

Do NOT submit sensitive personal information, including but not limited to your address, health information, Social Security Number or other identifying subjects. If you elect to share this information it will be subject to this privacy policy.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

How information is used

Information may be used in a variety of ways. We may respond to comments, questions, provide support, send promotional emails if you sign up for them, measure advertising, fight against illegal activities, and continue to operate, maintain, and keep the website safe and secure.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Children’s Policy

If you are under the age of 18 please do not use this website nor provide any information. We do not collect information from those that we know are younger than 18. Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

Visitor Comments will be checked through an automated spam device service

Third Party Use of Personal Information

We may use third-party service providers for various aspects of the website. Each third-party provider has their own privacy policy which they abide by to use your information. We do not have control over what information they use. Miniventure Mac uses the following third-party services:

  1. Google Analytics– tracks website usage and provides that information to Miniventure Mac for analytical purposes. They do not capture personal information, just perhaps your IP address. Please click HERE to view their privacy policy.

We will not share your information with third-party providers outside of this list. This list can be edited at any time, with our sole discretion.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. GDPR Rights

The European Union permits certain rights and accessibility to those within the EU in regards to their data under the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). These rights include:

  1. Right to Know: What information is being saved, and how it’s being used and shared.

  3. Right to Opt-Out: At miniventuremac.com, we DO NOT SELL your personal information. In general though, you may choose to opt-out of your personal information being sold.
  4. Right to Non-discrimination: You will not be discriminated against for choosing to have your information deleted, or choosing to not have your information sold. Again, we do not sell your personal information at miniventuremac.com.
